Dear Internet,

How are y’all doing? I know I could text or send you some kind of meme, but I think a letter is one of the coolest things someone could ever receive. I know sending letters can be slow, but they say the best things take time, and so while you’re waiting for my next letter, I think you should write some letters in the meantime!

Before you start writing though, you need to get your supplies. You’re gonna need a standard envelope, some paper, and whatever writing utensils you want to use. I personally like writing my letters on plain ol’ paper with my trusted ballpoint pen. It’s a pretty straight forward process, but there are some required specifications you want to keep in mind so your letter can be properly delivered.

Now let’s jump into the fun part, writing the message for the letter! This is the time for your creativity and heart to shine on paper. I love writing letters. I think it’s a great way to show someone you care in a fun and memorable way. I may not remember the meme I saw last week, but I still have the letters my third grade best friend sent me.

Letters don’t have to be just words! If you’re like me, I love to personalize my mail by using fun supplies like markers, coloring pencils, stickers, washi tape, glitter, ribbons, or anything else you want to decorate with. I’ll also include drawings and charts because why the heck not!!

Once everything is written and decorated, we’re ready to seal it shut and put a stamp on it. There are a ton of cool stamp designs available from the USPS. I personally love the frog stamps. I still think it’s amazing that you can send a message to any address in the continental United States for just 55 cents.

Our letter now has a stamp so it’s ready to be delivered! You can drop off your letter in any USPS mail blue box, or USPS postal station, or let it be picked up at your own home mailbox! Your letter is now in the trusted hands of our incredible postal workers and is on its way to the intended address.

Sending mail doesn’t have to be so hard, look, you just did it with me! Since you now know how to write a letter, be sure to pay it forward by sending some more mail! It’s a great way to say hello, and I’m sure your friends and family are going to be impressed by your amazing new found letter writing skills!

Yours truly, SonJonna Fan Club
